Quality education for vulnerable children. .

We believe that every child has a right of a good education, as well to have free access to clean water and sanitations. We want to see children in Mwatate, regardless of gender, tribe, religion, or financial circumstances, fulfilling their natural given potential. We believe that full-curriculum education, combined with promotion of social competences and environmental awareness, can play a major part in that.

    Water for Angaza

    The school is growing. We started to build new classrooms and since June 24 we have a borehole. Now we can use water for our farm and trees. Thanks to our donators Udo Lindenberg Stiftung and Water is Right Foundation.

    With the next step the water should be drinkable. Therefore we made plans for a cleaning and solar system. Our Partners will look for donators now …

    But there a some more challenges for us. More informations about that and the water project you will find in the movie.

    School is closed for April holidays

    Before the Kids went to holidays, we had a session at school. The pupils prepared poems. songs and dances for their teachers an the employes of Angaza. The best performing kids and the most disciplined, cleanest and active ones got a present. All the kids got biscuits and sweets.

    We hope to find them all healthy when they are back at school at the end of April.

    Our first graduation in history

    How time flies ! Our learners were graduating from PP 2 to grade one next year. On their great day we invited officials and head teachers from different schools. The kids got there certificates and we had gifts for the learners. Our director and founder Gabriel Mwabili rewarded the most deciplined student in the school this year.

    On the other hand the construction of the school goes on. The next two classrooms are almost ready. Also we established a farming project with trees, mais and tomatoes. To keep it alive, we installed two water tanks. While this resource must be brought by a transporter from far and because it is so expensive, we have to keep the farm small (but well). We teach our kids the value of water and let the project grow slowly.

    Angaza Academy is now closed for holidays until January 2024.

    the progress so far.

    After installing a solar system and window glasses in the first two classes, we started to build the next building.

    In the center of the new classrooms will be a movable door to separate, if its needed to have a hall.

    Asante sana ! to our friends in Schwerin, Germany, Heiko Höcker and his family. They organized a festival for our school in April which brought us most of the money for that what you see in this gallery.

    Structure of a Vision

    Gabriel Mwabili the founder of ANGAZA CBO started to build this school in his home area Taita Taveta County.

    Impressed by the poverty and the peoples poor life in that region, he decided to help. Without any sponsors or big money he started in October 22. He financed it only with his salary, which he gets as the coordinator for a german foundation in Kenya.

    The first students where there in January 2023 and now the construction of the next three classrooms should start. The movie introduces Gabriel and his visions. It also shows the construction. It was made for a welfare concert in Schwerin/Germany in April 23.

We are a Community Based Organization (CBO), located in Mwatate, Landi, Kenya. Since 2020, with help from friends all over the world, we have been involved in supporting vulnerable institutions, families and children in Mwatate, Landi and Meno area, especially with healthcare, food and education support. Our founder is coordinating and maintaining projects and water systems for a German foundation.
